FEE ARRANGEMENTS

The commitment to personalized service for each client is reflected in individualized fee arrangements. When clients retain Mr. Miller, they are expected to give a detailed explanation of their problem or their needs and to describe the desired outcome. The problem or project will then be discussed with the prospective client and a plan of action will be agreed on. When possible, an estimate of the time and resources required to arrive at a successful conclusion will also be discussed. In many situations, these estimates are subject to change as the work progresses or the case develops. All changes, including those changes which impact the cost of services, will be discussed with the client.

Most work is performed on an hourly basis and billed monthly. Fixed fee or alternate fee arrangements are also available, when appropriate.  Monthly bills detail the specific services provided on a day-by-day basis.

Payment is expected monthly New clients may also be required to provide an initial payment, known as a retainer that will be applied to the legal fees. Payment by credit card can be arranged. Mr. Miller is always available to discuss current charges with the client.

CLIENT COMMUNICATION

Clear and open communication with clients is a priority. Mr. Miller keeps all clients fully informed of the progress of their work and promptly notifies them of all significant developments. All telephone calls are returned as soon as possible.

Mr. Miller is accessible to his clients by telephone, facsimile, and e-mail. Documents may be transmitted to and from clients via regular mail, express mail, facsimile or as e-mail attachments. Clients are always encouraged to contact the office with any questions they may have regarding the course of their work or the nature of their representation.

Successful legal representation is based on a working partnership between the attorney and the client. Mr. Miller welcomes and relies upon, client participation in the legal process.
